The subject cards handle best and people ask about least
Yourself
This is where the cards work best and where people go least often. Asked about the present you rather than about someone else or the future, tarot does the thing it was always doing — putting into a sentence something you already knew and hadn't said.
Ask it like this
- What have I been putting off lately, and why that one?
- What posture do I most need right now?
- If I'm telling myself a lie at the moment, what is it?
- Who would I have to be by the end of the year to feel it went well?
Questions to avoid
- What kind of person am I?
- Why Too wide — every card looks correct against it. Add a season or a situation and the answer sharpens.
- What's wrong with my personality?
- Why Asking a card to confirm a flaw only stings, whatever it says. Ask instead which habit would make life easier if it changed.
One more thing
For a knotted stretch, the ten-card Celtic Cross earns its length. It's the layout for when one card and three didn't settle it.
