One-Card Draw
One card, one sentence you can use today. It works best when the question is small and specific, which is what makes it a good morning habit — and the fastest layout to learn if you have just picked up a deck.
Best for
Reading the tone of a day, or confirming something you already half know.
How to lay it
- Put the question into one sentence. Narrow is better: “what should I give my attention to today?”
- Hold that sentence in mind while you shuffle.
- Draw one card and note whether it landed upright or reversed.
- Carry the card's word through the day, then look back at it in the evening.

- Your answer, and also the angle you have been missing. Reading it as “how do I approach this?” gives you more to work with than reading it as good or bad news.
One thing while reading
Ask “what should I look at?” rather than “will it work out?”. One card is too narrow to settle a question and wide enough to point a direction.
